The Gal with a Tattoo!!--PART II
There was this beat of Adrenaline Rush competing with the strong currents of the water thrashing down the hill into a beautiful calm lake with shallow depths. My gal was already High.We struggled harder to put ourselves onto the surface and were jostled and splashed by surrounding waters and sharp cutting stones..The adventure went on for a few minutes finishing the topsy turvy ride..Ah! How violent and soothing can the water be.Its deep and calm now.We settled and paddled ,as we reached the shallow waters ,thanked God for giving me another chance to live..That was a crazy ride i have ever been ..i thought. We were completely soaked against the tides and thought to bask under the Sun for a while. As ,it was a windy day,we couldn't dry ourself much but made effective use of our prep time in munching Corn Kernels seasoned with Salsa sauce and sea salt .It was a bliss.
As the winds became low and the clouds turned greyer, Sarah and i thought of ending the adventure. We springed onto our tired moped and galloped into the winds as it was turning darker, though we haven't see the Sun,today.GPS is our promising guide like always but the climate turned out to be a step sister. The clouds were chasing us back to back..with a sudden pour down of now and then. We,however, managed to take a few halts in between, but couldn't avoid few obnoxious starings. Few people just don't grow. The rain didn't think of giving up and so did time, it was already 6 p.m. Our mobile is running out insighting us to start.Lo!! there is a long way to travel.
We started again, against the winds and chilling rain.We both were completely danked and my wet blanket, umbrella could no longer hold the drag.It swayed in all possible directions...but she didnt give up.Wind was roaring high.Sarah is my only support & belief that we can make it.It was dark,it was cold and we were middle of nothing except for hills and rocks. There wasn't a single hoot or a hush from the grass. She,is tired,i can sense it..but was more afraid than that.It still takes 30 minute ride to the town whined my GPS on its death bed.We can make it,its near, said i,to the rain who mocked at us wilder and wilder.
My dress gave me warmth for i have got some heavy fabric .But Sarah's struggle worried me a lot.I could have exchanged the ride only if i could manage to ride on these ghat roads.Loser for life ,i thought.Sarah's voice trembled down way and all i could do was strongly hug her to keep her warmth.I wrapped my Dupatta and scarf around her, with umbrella still dangling all the way.I prayed ,we reach the town faster as the only path seeker is the HeadLight. After some time,we finally reached the town and it felt so good to see food stalls and Lights at a corner. The scenic view can in no way be less effective than some Haunted Movie.I could swallow a ghost, said atta gal...whose got no time to break out in a cold sweat..
As the cold silvery coins clinged among the moist notes, our tender hands grabbed a plate or two of hot samosas and mirchi bajjis, which. we know, were not enough but soothed our frozen palate. We cleansed our shabby self for a minute and waited for the rain to calm down. For a minute,we thought of dodging into a hotel ,to start early tomorrow but some how the place sounded suspicious to stay.A girl can smell danger faster, books say.
It was 7 p.m and still there is more than an hour travel to make it to home.Bruised, greased with all the dirt was panting there our bike, who doesn't let us down anytime. We started fast, after sipping a strong cup of tea,to keep our senses alive for an hour.It is a single straight road,so we started in full speed.I started singing like a drunken monkey to make us keep swimming. The snack we ate turned out to be greatly helpful.God Bless ,its makers.Mid way,the clouds again went crazy and it started raining..Now ,we are so pissed that we thought what may come, feast or famine ,we are not going to stop till we reach our place.Rain started singing with us,my ugly competitor.I curse all those romantic movies of Shraddha Kapoor ..Bull shit!!
Things calmed after a while. We could see the finish line welcoming us in a few kms.We ,somehow, from,no where, actually started loving this ride..and it was quite crazy,as we had never had such a weirdo experience.Never on earth, did we feel so alive as we hitched onto the ORR.We took a 1min stop, from our bike, stared for a couple of seconds, screamed and laughed violently that we made it.That moment was one time in every life movement for me.We congratulated, danced and swayed to every car passing that way...we must be kept in an asylum,if someone cared.Happiness seemed to be a happy feet film, there.
It was turning 9,by the time we reached. We were quivering ,having the shakes in our limbs, and God we were enjoying this madness. We stopped by the very famous,Pista House, who were very generous to receive us and make the servings in no time.We cleaned ourself first.I still feel sorry that we made all the floor so muddy..and thought would be taunted for such act. What are rain rides, without mud on,we giggled. But no,things were going easy now.Maybe the part ended. We devoured the spicy garlic soup which gave us a spa effect and ate Dum biryani to relieve our senses. It was 10 p.m ,we thanked the restaurant manager for his generosity and delicious serving and also apologised for the dirt .
We reached our room in no time..Sarah puffed for a while, till i made the beds. She did it after a very long time and i didn't stop her today. We screamed till our ears could sense the beat and kicked of the pillows under the bedcovers for the most amazing Birthday ever!!And next day ,i woke up thinking God writes beautiful stories called Memories and the moments for such memories can be written only by making them happen!
